Comparative and World Literature
Professor of Comparative and World Literature and English Ellen Peel presented the plenary address ("Unnatural Narration by Constructed Bodies: Who Sees and Who Speaks with Our Head?") at the 49th Annual Comparative Literature Conference at CSU Long Beach in April.

Also, Peel spoke on "Frankengenre: Narratives of the Constructed Body" before the International Society for the Study of Narrative held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in March.

Health Education
Professor of Health Education Erik Peper authored the article "Increasing strength and mood by changing posture and sitting habits," which was published in the July 2014 issue of Western Edition HP Journal.

Women and Gender Studies
Professor of Women and Gender Studies Nan Alamilla Boyd led "Step Back: A Walking Tour of Queer Old North Beach" on June 21. Radar Productions sponsored the tour.
