Counseling
Associate Professor of Counseling and Coordinator of the Career Counseling Specialization in Counseling Rebecca Toporek was selected to receive the honor of ACA Fellow for the American Counseling Association. Fellow Awards are given to an ACA member of professional distinction for significant and unique contributions in professional practice, scientific achievement and governance, or teaching and training. Toporek will be recognized at the ACA Conference in San Francisco on March 24. She was recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Society of Counseling Psychology, in August.
Health Education
Assistant Professor of Health Education Rick Harvey and Professor of Health Education Erik Peper coauthored and presented, with two students, the poster, "Improving College Students’ Health--Including Stopping Smoking and Healing Eczema," at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback March 7-10 in Baltimore.
