Assistant Professor of Asian American Studies Valerie Soe's blog, beyondasiaphilia, received a 2012 Andy Warhol Foundation/Creative Capital Art Writer's Grant of $30,000. Grants are designed to encourage and reward writing about contemporary art and to create a broader audience for arts writing.
