Associate Professor of Creative Writing Camille Dungy's poem, "Cleaning" is included in the anthology "The 100 Best African American Poems," edited by Nikki Giovanni. The book won the 2011 NAACP Image Award for poetry.
Education
Assistant Professor of Education Yanan Fan presented one of the two keynote speeches at the Chinese Language Teachers Association of California spring conference held at Stanford University on March 5. The speech, "How to become a credentialed language teacher," reviewed the procedures and experiences one may expect when working to obtain a California Single Subject Credential in World Languages with a concentration in Chinese.
