Professor of Art Barbara Foster exhibited her large-scale water jet-cut woodcut print "ADM Silo" in the 2011 North American Print Biennial at the Danforth Museum in Framingham, Massachusetts, in February. Foster completed the work at the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg, Illinois. Former Chair of the Art Department and Professor Emerita of Art Sylvia Walters also had a print selected for the exhibition.
Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts
A segment of Assistant Professor of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Jeff Jacoby's "Travelling Radio Show" won two awards in the Broadcast Education Association's 2011 national competition: Best of Competition for Long Form Faculty Production and Best of Festival for Faculty Audio, the top award across all categories.
Recreation, Parks and Tourism
Assistant Professor of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Jackson Wilson presented research on Outdoor Education Apprenticeships and the Resiliency of Marginalized Urban Youth at the American Camp Association conference on Feb. 9 in San Diego. Graduate students Allison Burnor and Jeff Starr assisted with the research.
