Ethnic Studies
Associate Professor and Acting Director of Ethnic Studies Race and Resistance Program Catriona Rueda Esquibel has two publications this week: "Our Queer Kin," co-authored with Luz Calvo of CSUEB in Gay Latino Studies: A Critical Reader (Duke University Press, 2011) and "Do U Think I'm a Nasty Girl" in Our Lady of Controversy: Alma Lopez's Irreverent Apparition (University of Texas, 2011).

Esquibel also presented her critical and creative works at the National Association of Chicana and Chicano Studies (NACCS) annual meeting in Pasadena, California, during the last week of March.

Labor Studies
On March 31, Associate Professor and Director of Labor Studies John Logan testified before Congress at a House of Representatives Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor Pensions on the topic "The Future of Union Transparency and Accountability."
