You don't know Jack
In an April 23 Los Angeles Times story, Professor of History Paul Longmore commented on the character of Jack Kevorkian, who is being portrayed by Al Pacino in the upcoming HBO movie "You Don't Know Jack." Longmore compared Kevorkian's attitudes to that of a neo-Nazi. "I don't use that to be inflammatory," Longmore said. "His views of people who are sick and disabled are close to what the Nazis held and tried to implement with their euthanasia laws. One of the alarming things is, so many people in this country ended up regarding him as some kind of folk hero."
