Ambitious administration
In a March 10 Washington Examiner article, Professor of Communication Studies Joe Tuman commented on the range of issues currently being tackled by the Obama administration. Tuman noted that the agenda is one of the most ambitious taken on by an administration in recent memory. "I remember thinking 'If he gets even one of these things done in eight years it will be a major accomplishment.'"

Debit diet
In a March 6 San Francisco Examiner article, Assistant Professor of Health Education Emma Sanchez-Vaznaugh commented on a new school lunch policy that would allow students to use a debit-like card to purchase lunch at schools. The card would also allow parents to know what their kids are eating away from home. Sanchez-Vaznaugh, who recently authored a study about school nutritional policy, said the project would allow researchers to better study the causes of childhood obesity. "People don’t remember what they ate the day before,” she said.
