Associate Professor of Accounting Theresa Hammond spoke about her book, "A White-Collar Profession: African-American Certified Public Accountants Since 1921," at a benefit for the Richard Austin Fund for Accounting Excellence at Wayne State University.

Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts
Professor Emeritus of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Arthur Asa Berger wrote the recently published book, "The Cultural Theorist’s Book of Quotations." 

Creative Writing
Associate Professor of Creative Writing Camille Dungy's anthology "Black Nature: Four Centuries of African American Nature Poetry," was the topic of a two-day symposium, "Black Nature:  On the First Anthology of Nature Writing by African American Poets," at University of California, Berkeley's Institute of the Environment on March 4 and 5.

Raza Studies
Assistant Professor of Raza Studies Jeffrey Duncan-Andrade talked about the "Race to the Top" initiative in his keynote address at a Harvard University School of Education conference on Feb. 26.
