Anthropology
Karen Olsen Bruhns, professor emerita of Anthropology, and Nancy L. Kelker, professor of Art History at Middle Tennessee State University, have recently published two volumes on the forgery of Precolumbian art and artifacts. "Faking Ancient Mesoamerica" and "Faking the Ancient Andes" were both published in January by Left Coast Press.
Journalism
Assistant Professor of Journalism Rachele Kanigel was selected to receive the Beverly Kees Educator Award from the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. The award recognizes her work with students regarding the First Amendment, freedom of information and free speech rights.
Library/Foreign Languages and Literatures
Joan E. Borrelli, head of the library's collection acquisition management, has published English translations of the poet Francesca Turini Bufalini's "Autobiographical Poems" in collaboration with editor Natalia Costa-Zalessow, professor emerita of Italian. The bilingual edition was released last week by Bordighera Press, Inc. |
