Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts
Arthur Asa Berger
, professor emeritus of broadcast and electronic communication arts, is a 2009 inductee into the University of Iowa Journalism and Mass Communication Hall of Fame.

International Relations
Professor of International Relations Andrei Tsygankov spoke at a conference at UC Berkeley titled "Responding to a Resurgent Russia: Russian Policy and Responses from the EU and US."

Student Affairs
Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Gene Chelberg has been selected as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow for the 2009-10 academic year. Chelberg is one of 38 higher education professionals selected this year for this prestigious leadership development program which involves a placement at a host institution.
