Professor of Health Education Erik Peper presented the invited lecture "Holistic Biofeedback Training to Mobilize Health and Reduce Pain" at the Second Congress of the Mexican Society of Bio- and Neuro-Feedback (Segundo Congreso de La Sociedad Mexicana de Bio y Neuroretroalimentación) at the Academic Cultural Center of the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM) in Queretaro, Mexico, on Sept. 20.
International Education
Associate Vice President for International Education Yenbo Wu has been selected to join the CSU Commission on the Extended University as the senior international officer representative. The commission advises the chancellor on self-supporting extended education, online and international activities and is comprised of two campus presidents, two provosts, three extended education deans, four faculty senators, an academic technology specialist and a senior international officer. The commission meets three times a year in person and twice virtually.
Recreation, Parks, and Tourism
Professor of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Nina Roberts was an invited speaker at the Save the Redwoods League's annual Board of Directors and Councillors meeting on Sept. 19. She spoke about cultural diversity and parks, as well as how they impact the organization's efforts to connect people with the peace and beauty of the redwoods.
Special Education
Professor of Special Education Pamela Wolfberg's article "Integrated Play Groups: Promoting Symbolic Play and Social Engagement with Typical Peers in Children with ASD Across Settings" was published Sept. 18 in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.
