Communication Studies
Associate Professor of Communication Studies Amy Kilgard performed her solo show, Triskaidekaphobia: 13 Consumer Tragedies, at the 2013 San Francisco Fringe Festival. Communication Studies Lecturer Alexis Litzky was the show's director.

Creative Writing
Professor of Creative Writing Nona Caspers's and Joell Hallowell's collaborative book on women marrying women, Lawfully Wedded Wives, was published (Spuyten Duyvil Press, August 2013).

Theatre Arts
Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Kim Schwartz was certified for Theatre Rigging administered by the Entertainment Technician Certification Program, an industry-wide program that has created rigorous assessments for professional technicians to protect the health and safety of crews, performers and audiences.
