Cinema
Professor of Cinema Britta Sjogren's contemporary Western film about race, redemption and survival, Redemption Trail, starring Lily Rabe, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Hamish Linklater and Jake Weber, was screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival on Oct. 6 and will screen again Oct 8. It will also be shown at the Cinema By The Bay festival Nov. 23 at the Roxie Theater.

California Deaf-Blind Services Educational Specialist David Brown was presented with DeafBlind International’s Lifetime Achievement Award "in recognition of his dedicated and visionary contributions to the education of deafblind children and adults nationally and internationally" on Sept. 25 at the St. Francis Foundation in Heilgenbronn, Germany.
