Health Education
The book, Biofeedback Mastery, an experiential Teaching and Self-Training Manual, authored by Professor of Health Education Erik Peper, Associate Professor of Health Education Rick Harvey and others was translated and published in China.
Also, Peper presented the invited lecture on biofeedback training to the Corporate Clinical Psychology Services of Hospital Authority in Hong Kong, Oct. 21-25.
History
Associate Professor of History Maziar Behrooz served as a panelist for discussions on "The 1953 Coup and its Implications for the Current Political Discourse in Iran" on Oct. 13-14 at the Center for Near Eastern Studies at University of California, Los Angeles.
University Advancement
Vice President for University Advancement Robert J. Nava delivered the keynote address for the 45th Anniversary celebration of the Mission Language and Vocation School (MLVS) on Friday, Oct. 25. MLVS is a community-based education center that has administered federal, state and locally funded programs for more than 44 years. More than 70 percent of its graduates escape the cycle of poverty through long-term employment and community involvement.
