Journalism
Associate Professor of Journalism Rachele Kanigel, interim director of the Center for Integration and Improvement of Journalism, was installed as president of the College Media Association at its Oct. 25 convention in New Orleans.

Health Education
Professor of Health Education Adam Burke's article "An Exploratory Study Comparing Goal-Oriented Mental 4 Imagery with Daily To-Do Lists: Supporting College 5 Student Success" was published in the November 2013 journal of Current Psychology. Burke is director of the Institute for Holistic Health Studies.

Music & Dance
The Alexander String Quartet, quartet-in-residence in the Morrison Chamber Music Center, released its new CD, "Bartók & Kodály: The Complete Quartets," Oct. 8 on the Foghorn Classics label.

Professor of Music Roger Woodward's recent CD, "Roger Woodward in Concert" (Celestial Harmonies), was named a top recording of October 2013 by Music Web International.

Recreation, Parks, and Tourism
Associate Professor of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Nina Roberts gave two presentations at the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) International Conference in Denver, Nov. 1. The sessions included women in leadership and youth development focusing on cultural competency training. Following her workshops, Roberts was invited to give the keynote presentation at AEE's spring 2014 Rocky Mountain Regional conference.
