Creative Writing
Two stories from the oral history project Lawfully Wedded Wives, co-authored by Professor of Creative Writing Nona Caspers, appeared on the HAAS Foundation Website. Her fiction has recently been published in Gihon Literary Review, Arroyo Review and Cimarron Review. The editors of Cimarron Review nominated her story for the anthology, Top Stories from the Midwest. Another story, "Reception," is forthcoming in the Spring Issue of The Kenyon Review.
Kinesiology
Professor of Kinesiology Susan Zieff's study examining attitudes towards health and exercise among six low income San Francisco neighborhoods was published in the November 2012 issue of Journal of Physical Activity & Health.
Social Work
Assistant Professors of Social Work Candy Madrigal and Jocelyn Hermoso co-presented "Forgotten Populations of Colombia: Internal Displacement of Indigenous and Afro-descendants" at the Social Work Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) 2012 Annual Program Meeting in Washington, D.C. Nov. 9-12.
