Professor of Health Education Erik Peper was quoted in an Oct. 19 blog post about the effectiveness of biofeedback in self-regulation and stress reduction. "Even small changes in your breathing can make a significant difference in your physiology -- in your body, mind and emotions," Peper said. Biofeedback can be done without equipment, but "the advantage of the equipment is that it gives you the immediacy of feedback. It also provides the distraction of looking at the screen."

Associate Professor and Director of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan commented for an Oct. 25 San Francisco Examiner report on a planned December vote by Virgin America flight attendants on whether to join the Transportation Workers Union.
