CampusMemo schedule
CampusMemo has returned to its regular weekly publication schedule with this issue.

Campus cat feeders sought
The Campus Cat Committee seeks campus volunteers to feed the campus cats on weekends. The committee provides all of the food for the small feline population on campus, so staff, faculty and student volunteers need only deliver food and water once per month, on Saturday and/or Sunday. To sign up, contact Brigid Duffy at bduffy@sfsu.edu or ext. 8-1493. Donations are also welcome and are used for food and veterinary bills.

e-Reserves moving to iLearn
The Library and Academic Technology are integrating electronic reserves into iLearn. The transition from the standalone Docutek ERes platform to iLearn, SF State's learning management system, will take place during the fall 2011 semester. Beginning with the spring 2012 semester, electronic reserves will be done exclusively within iLearn.

Here's what faculty can expect:

  • Materials already submitted for fall 2011 electronic reserve will be available in both Docutek ERes and iLearn. Students will use their University ID and password to access electronic reserves in iLearn or they can access the materials in Docutek ERes using a password provided by the instructor.
  • Faculty with materials already in Docutek ERes and who want to use those materials again for fall 2011 will have those materials available in both Docutek ERes and iLearn.
  • Most new materials submitted for electronic reserve will be available only in iLearn.
  • Docutek ERes will be phased out by the end of the fall 2011 semester.
  • Beginning with the spring 2012 semester, electronic reserves will be available only in iLearn.
  • Documents or files previously available through Docutek ERes will continue to be available for reuse in iLearn.
  • Faculty may continue to submit materials to Library Reserve Services during and after the transition to iLearn.

If you have questions about this change in the electronic reserves procedures, please contact Reserve Services staff at ext. 8-1881 or rbr@sfsu.edu

Submitting events to CampusMemo
CampusMemo picks up event listings directly from the University Calendar. Departments interested in publicizing an event in CampusMemo simply need to register the event on the University Calendar by 10 a.m. on Wednesday of the previous week. To submit an event, go to www.sfsu.edu/calendar/ and click on "Submit an Event" in the left-hand navigation bar. This procedure saves event sponsors the extra step of entering information specifically for CampusMemo, and the later deadline for submittal allows more time for event sponsors to submit their items to CampusMemo.
