Creative Writing
Several short stories from Associate Professor of Creative Writing Nona Caspers' collection This Isn't What I Came to Say, were published in national literary journals. The story "Ants" was awarded the June Open Fiction Award from the journal, Glimmer Train. "Horse" was published in the Glimmer Train Writer's Bulletin. "Two Clean Things," "The Dog" and "The Phone Call" are included in the fall issue of Black Warrior Review. "Ravine" appeared in the summer issue of Cimmarron Review.
Health Education
Professor of Health Education Adam Burke participated in a National Institutes of Health expert panel to select items for the 2012 National Health Interview Survey, Complementary and Alternative Medicine Supplement, held in Bethesda, Maryland on Sept. 23.
