Professor of Art Barbara Foster's print collection, "Humming Half-Lives," is on exhibit at Warehouse Gallery One in Peoria, Ill., through Oct. 29.

Creative Writing
Assistant Professor of Creative Writing Peter Orner's latest book, "Hope Deferred: Narratives of Zimbabwean Lives," a non-fiction oral history of Zimbabwe, was published this month by McSweeney's as part of the Voice of Witness project.

Health Education
Professor of Health Education Erik Peper co-authored "Single-session treatment of hip pain: factors underlying the healing process," in Somatics.

Music and Dance
Professor of Music Hafez Modirzadeh and Music Lecturer John Calloway were among the musicians who opened the sixth season of "Jazz Church" concerts at the Peace Lutheran Church in Danville on Oct. 10.

Theatre Arts
Professor of Theatre Arts Jo Tomalin gave two presentations to the Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre Programs actors and directors in Oakland: "Acting, Character Development and Script Analysis" on Aug. 20 and "Voice Techniques for Actors" on Aug. 27.

Professor of Theatre Arts Carlos Barón stars in "A Picasso" at the Royce Gallery in San Francisco through Oct. 16.
