Bill Issel, professor emeritus of history, and currently a Fulbright professor in Hungary, was a panelist at a conference devoted to the 2008 presidential election on October 16 in Pécs, Hungary, and chaired a session on "New Challenges for American Studies" at the Hungarian Association for American Studies conference on Oct. 18 in Szeged, Hungary.
