Humanities
History Lecturer S.T. (Steve) Georgiou presented a slide show and lecture
about his book "Mystic Street: Meditations on a Spiritual Path" at
Holy Trinity Church in San Francisco and at the Graduate Theological
Union in Berkeley.
Creative Arts
Lisa Solomon, visiting lecturer in Art, opened a solo show of her work, "over
the river and through the woods," at the Little Bird Gallery in
Los Angeles. The show closes Nov. 8. She also opened "Work A Day" at
the Blankspace gallery in Oakland. The show, co-curated by Solomon and
Lorene Anderson, features 12 artists creating an entire work every day--hence
a "work a day"-- over a three-week period.
Business
Jeff Saperstein, lecturer in marketing, coauthored the book "Improve
Your Marketing to Grow Your Business: Insights and Innovation That Drive
Business and Brand Growth," published by Wharton School Publishing
and Prentice Hall/Pearson. Saperstein wrote the book with marketing management
pioneer Hunter Hastings.
