Thousands attend Welcome Days at SF State

August 25, 2008 -- An estimated 2,500 freshmen participated Aug. 21 and 22 in the second Welcome Days on campus. This two-day event helps new students and their families learn about the University and meet the campus community. Welcome Days featured musical performances, campus tours, a Taste of SF State -- an event that gave students sample lunches from restaurants on campus -- and classroom workshops with sample classes to give students a feel for life at SF State. Students found the experience a useful introduction to college life. "It makes me feel comfortable in this new environment," Freshman Lindsey Millen said.
