A Closer Look: Campus banners
Photo of a campus banner on light pole near the Humanities building and a close-up of the yellow and purple banners which read "One community from many"

The colorful street banners that line the periphery of the campus remind passers-by that SFSU is "one community from many." The current set of blue and yellow banners have been up since last summer on the light poles along Holloway Avenue, Font and Lake Merced boulevards, as well as the campus walkway near the Humanities building (shown here). The University's banner campaign began during SFSU's centennial celebration in 1999, with the theme "People, Potential, Possibility." Other banner themes were "Love is stronger than hate" and "Connect. Reflect."
