A Closer Look: Resident Apartment Building

photo of the Residence Apartment Building

Plastic sheeting shrouds the Residence Apartment Building as it undergoes a structural upgrade and repairs to the roof, windows and exterior walls. The building has been closed since May 2000 because of faulty construction resulting in water intrusion and mold. Earlier this year the contractor agreed to repair the building and construction crews continue their work. When it reopens in fall 2004, more than 600 students will fill the one- and two-bedroom apartments.
