Among those cheering on the Oakland Raiders in Sunday's Super Bowl will be SFSU junior Shannon Burgess. But unlike most East Bay fans, Burgess will be on the field in San Diego -- she's a Raiderette.

Born in Oakland and raised in Rodeo, Burgess started cheering for Pop Warner football teams at the age of 8. A dance and broadcasting major, Burgess is in her second year as a Oakland Raiders cheerleader. Her sister Samantha also cheers for the team.

Read a profile of Burgess on the Raiders Web site.
