Photo of 'Earth;y Forces,' a sculpture featuring boulders wrapped in nets of metal

"Earthly Forces," a sculpture by Sui Jianguo featuring a series of large river boulders banded with rebar, is just one of the many pieces of public art found on campus. Jianguo, arguably the most renowned contemporary sculptor in China, currently serves as head of the Sculpture Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. "Earthly Forces" is on long-term loan from San Francisco's Asian Art Museum. It is located at the lower entrance to the Fine Arts building.
