A Closer Look: Stress Relief Day

Photo of two students playing "gladiator jousting"

Freshman Nicole Voytko (left) spars with junior Kartik Garg during a bout of "gladiator jousting." The object of the game is to knock an opponent off a short platform with a padded jousting stick. The game was just one of many offered during Stress Relief Day, held Thursday, Oct. 23, to help educate students about dealing with stress and using alcohol responsibly. The free event, which was coordinated by the Student Health Advisory Committee, also featured a bouncy boxing ring, a bouncy castle (inflatable trampoline), a dunk tank, 10-minute massages and giveaways of squeeze stress balls and breath alcohol analyzers.
