A Closer Look: Labor Archives photo exhibit

Photo of World War II-era women welders eating lunch

A photograph of World War II-era women factory workers at lunch is just one of many images of California workers featured in the "At Work: The Art of California Labor -- A Photographic Exhibit" which can be viewed through Jan. 16 on the first floor of the J. Paul Leonard Library. Most of the images come from the photo collection of "The People's World," a local radical newspaper that focused on labor and social justice issues from the 1930s to the 1980s. The collection is now part of SFSU's Labor Archives and Research Center. For hours and details, see the SFSU Calendar's exhibits page.
