Forum with gubernatorial candidates Thursday

September 24, 2003

The California governor recall election is on for Oct. 7, according to Tuesday's ruling by a federal appeals court. Interested in learning about some of the lesser-known candidates from the Bay Area? More than a dozen of them will speak on campus Thursday evening for a public forum. It will be held at 7 p.m. in McKenna Theater and is free and open to the public.

Candidates scheduled to appear include James Green, Jerry Kunzman, Dick Lane, Calvin Louie, Christopher Ranken, Ned Rosco, Sharon Rushford, Christopher Sproul and Lingel Winters.

Davey D, host of "Hard Knock Radio" on KPFA-FM, will moderate the forum.

The forum is sponsored by the Journalism Department and Golden Gate [X]press publications, publisher of SFSU's student newspaper and other student publications.

The event will be Webcast live on the Golden Gate [X]press Web site.
