A Closer Look: "Held So Close" reveals the experiences of Chinese immigrants

A performer from the Facing East Dance and Music Company looks out from behind a chain link fence. The company will be on campus this weekend to perform "Held So Close," a multimedia, dance and live music production that reveals the emotions of Chinese immigrants during their stay at the San Francisco Bay's Angel Island Immigration Station for days, weeks, months and sometimes years. Performances take place at 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. For details, including ticket information, see the College of Creative Arts Web site.
