Discovery Day: A fun way to learn about
SFSU's marine research center

Children and adults can learn about the wonders of San Francisco Bay during Discovery Day, a family science fair and open house at the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.

Discovery Day features marine animal touch tanks, arts and crafts, hands-on experiments, live music, food and more. Scientists will share current research, including studies of "red tides," global warming and the alien species that inhabit the Bay. There will be activities for both adults and children. Admission is free

The Center, run by San Francisco State University, is located at 3150 Paradise Drive in Tiburon. Parking is free. For more information, call (415) 338-6063. Or vist the Romberg Tiburon Center's Web site.
