The Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Department (BECA) is sponsoring a panel discussion that examines how electronic news media coverage has changed since the events of Sept. 11. The discussion will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in Studio 1 of the Creative Arts building. It is free and open to the public.

Panelists include Joe Tuman, professor of speech and communication studies, and broadcast journalists Brian Hackney of KRON-TV, Stan Bunger of KCBS Radio and Janice Gin of KTVU-TV.

Marty Gonzalez, associate professor in BECA and co-anchor of KRON-TV's weekend morning news program, organized the event.
