Rashaida Coleman was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Female Track Athlete of the Week for March 11-17. Coleman, a 20-year-old sophomore from Richmond, Calif., was honored for her performance at the March 16 Humboldt Open Invitational where she won the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Her winning time in the 100-meter dash of 12.28 seconds was the seventh fastest in SFSU history.

Coleman, a kinesiology major, is the first Gator to win the Track Athlete of the Week honor since SFSU joined the CCAA in 1998. Earlier this year, Coleman set the SFSU indoor track record in the 55-meter dash.
