In a Nov. 29 column printed in the San Francisco Examiner, President Robert. A Corrigan lauded the efforts of Business Professor Gary Selnow to connect communities in third-world nations to the rest of the world, via the Internet. Selnow has set up computer centers in the Balkans, Kenya and Nicaragua to provide health-related information to medical professionals and other community members. Corrigan wrote that Selnow is an example of how SFSU faculty and students are broadening the definition of community engagement.
