October 24, 2002 With less than two weeks before voters go to the polls, SFSU will be the site of one of the last forums for candidates in races for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and state office. Nearly 20 candidates are scheduled to take part in a forum from noon to 2 p.m. Friday on Malcolm X Plaza on campus. "The forum is an important effort to help student and staff voters make informed choices among competing candidates," said Marsha Adler, SFSU director of Civic Engagement and coordinator of voter education and registration drives on campus. Following is a list of candidates scheduled to attend:
The forum is sponsored by Associated Students and the SFSU chapter of the California State Employees Association.
