Abstract Explores the relationship between ethnic, gender, & sexual identities among Latinos/as from a developmental perspective. Culturally prescribed gender roles & lack of support from the indigenous communities are discussed as oppressive factors that inhibit a healthier integration of both ethnic & sexual identities. The role that social workers can play in facilitating such integration is discussed, along with other recommendations, within a culturally grounded approach. 45 References.
