Presents the cultural alignment framework, which is used to examine the role both cultural oppression & cultural alienation play in the lives of African American male youths. The framework assumes that African American male youth violence is a function of these males' internalization of alien concepts of manhood that reflect the impositions of European American culture & the nefarious legacy of slavery. 66 References.
