Foreign language courses may be taken at SFSU or at community colleges, private institutes, or university extension programs.  Language courses may be taken on a credit/no credit basis or for a certificate of attendance.  For courses taken off campus, students should place an official transcript, a letter from the institution, or a memorandum from the English 426 instructor in their file in the English Dept. office.
