Primary Executions

The SF State logo features two primary executions: the horizontal or "global" execution and the vertical or "local" execution. There are a number of versions of each execution.

Horizontal (Global) Version

Characteristics: University name spelled out completely; horizontal orientation.

Usage: Print and electronic publications created for and accessible to regional, national and worldwide audiences.

Vertical (Local) Version

Characteristics: University name abbreviated; vertical orientation.

Usage: Print and electronic publications created for and accessible to local or regional audiences.

Restrictions: Do not use the Local Version on materials targeted for national or international audiences, where the initials "SF" may not be perceived to indicate San Francisco.
