The college experience is the academic journey to unleashing our full potential as career holders of the future. But the hours spent in the classroom are only a small part of the journey; by taking charge and seizing the opportunities to become a part of the campus you will then truly understand the meaning of Student Life
Welcome to Student Life
There is a place for every student to get involved on campus, whether it's joining student government, a student organization, club sport or a fraternity or sorority; becoming a Resident Assistant, orientation leader, or peer educator; becoming an active participant within academic activities, campus recreation, or events and programs; or joining the Student Life Initiative to create new opportunities on campus. These are but a few examples of how SF State is a vibrant living learning community that has much to offer.
Find your connection at SF State to strengthen your student life experience both in and outside the classroom. If you do not find your interest listed, let us know, so we can help you get involved at SF State.
What Student Life Means to Me: Kristina Nagales
I am a double major in Kinesiology and Asian American studies. Although college has been a very long route for me, being surrounded by the wonderful staff in the Campus Recreation Department has made my experience less stressful and unforgettable. I have been working for the department for the past two years and have grown from an intern to the current Sport Clubs Manager. Campus Rec is my second family and my home away from home. Besides working for Campus Rec I have been involved with organizations on campus such as PACE, Pilipino American Collegiate Endeavor, and The League of Filipino Students. Off campus I am a student member of NIRSA, The National Intercollegiate Recreational Sport Association and am a youth adviser for a Daly City community organization called Liwanag Kultural Center. Although graduation is quickly approaching in 2012, I know I will continue my love for Campus Recreation and giving back to the community.
