Dean of Students Leadership Awards 2013

Purpose

The Dean of Students is proud to recognize the outstanding leadership at SF State. The annual Leadership Awards Ceremony highlights the outstanding service that student leaders, student organizations and faculty/staff advisors provide to the SF State and larger communities. Four awards have been established to thank and recognize the outstanding talent in the SF State community. The four awards include Outstanding Student Leader Award, Outstanding Student Organization Award, Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advisor Award and Social Justice Award.

Nomination Process & Deadline

Campus community members may nominate individuals and student organizations. All eligible nominees will be submitted to the Awards Committee for review. This review is based solely on the content of nominations received using this online form from SF State faculty, staff and students. After review, the Committee makes a recommendation to the Dean of Students who determines the award recipient(s). Students and faculty/staff advisors may not nominate themselves for the individual awards. However, they may nominate their own organization for the Outstanding Student Organization Award and/or Social Justice Award.

To submit a nomination, click on the corresponding link below. Nomination forms will be available on Friday, February 1, 2013. The deadline for all submissions for the 2013 Awards is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013. Award recipients will be announced the Dean of Students Leadership Awards Ceremony held on Thursday, April 18, 2013.
