Leadership in Action Awards

Purpose

LEAD and University Housing host the annual Leadership in Action Awards to recognize the outstanding service that student leaders, student organizations and faculty/staff advisors provide to the SF State and larger communities. Four awards have been established to thank and recognize the outstanding talent in the SF State community. The four awards include:

  • Outstanding Student Leader Award
  • Outstanding Student Organization Award
  • Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advisor Award
  • Social Justice Award

Process

Campus community members may nominate individuals and student organizations. All eligible nominees will be submitted to the LEAD Advisory Committee for review. This review is based solely on the content of nominations received using this online form from SF State faculty, staff and students. After review, the LEAD Advisory Committee makes a recommendation to Joseph Greenwell who determines the award recipient(s). Students and faculty/staff advisors may not nominate themselves for the individual awards. However, they may nominate their LEAD student group for the organization award.

Deadline

The deadline for all submissions for the 2009 Awards is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009.
