Important Student Organization Dates: Summer & Fall 2012

  • May 4th at 8:00 a.m.: Historical outdoor event requests for the fall 2012 semester can be submitted. Historical is defined as events that have been in existence for at least 5 years.
  • May 4th: Last day for tabling, outdoor events and the Vendor Program
  • May 21st at 5:00 p.m.: Deadline to submit historical outdoor event requests for the fall 2012 semester. Historical is defined as events that have been in existence for at least 5 years.
  • August 1st at 8:00 a.m.: Outdoor event requests accepted for all fall 2012 events.
  • August 13th at 8:00 a.m.: Student organization registration process begins for the 2012-2013 academic year. This includes all re-registering and new organizations.
  • August 13th at 8:00 a.m.: Registration opens for the 5th Annual Leadership Symposium
  • August 23rd at 8:00 a.m.: Tabling permits can be submitted for the first week of classes (week of August 27th)
  • August 27th: First day of classes, outdoor events and tabling
  • September 8th: 5th Annual Leadership Symposium
  • September 10th: Classroom requests accepted for the fall 2012 semester
  • September 30th: Student organization registration deadline
  • November 1st at 8:00 a.m.: Historical outdoor event requests for the spring 2013 semester can be submitted. Historical is defined as events that have been in existence for at least 5 years.
  • November 16th at 5:00 p.m.: Deadline to submit historical outdoor event requests for the spring 2013 semester. Historical is defined as events that have been in existence for at least 5 years.
  • December 7th: Last day for tabling, outdoor events and the Vendor Program
  • December 10th at 8:00 a.m.: Outdoor event requests accepted for all spring 2013 events.

Outdoor Event Requests For 2012-2013

LEAD will start accepting requests on the dates and times below for outdoor events occurring on Malcolm X Stage, Centennial Walkway and/or the Lawn Area during the 2012-2013 academic year.

  • Historical events for the fall 2012 semester: Friday, May 4, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012. Historical is defined as events that have been in existence for at least 5 years.
  • All events for the fall 2012 semester: Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. on a rolling first-come-first-served basis.
  • Historical events for the spring 2013 semester: Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012. Historical is defined as events that have been in existence for at least 5 years.
  • All events for the spring 2013 semester: Monday, December 10, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. on a rolling first-come-first-served basis.

Important Spring 2012 Dates for Student Organization Leaders

  • January 19th: Tabling permit requests available at 8:00 a.m. in OrgSync for the week of January 23rd
  • January 23rd: First day for tabling, outdoor events and Vendor Program (first day of classes)
  • January 23rd: Student organization registration for the spring semester begins. Student organizations that registered and received approval in the fall 2011 semester do not have to re-register in the spring. The registration period in the spring is only for new organizations and organizations that failed to meet the September 30th deadline in the fall semester.
  • February 1st: Leadership Awards nominations open
  • February 6th: Classroom reservations open for the spring semester
  • Week of February 13th: Spirit Week
  • February 29th: Spring student organization registration deadline
  • February 29th: Leadership Awards nominations deadline - 5:00 p.m.
  • March 12th: Beginning at 8:00 a.m., student organization leaders can register their organization to participate in the Student Organization Fair at Sneak Preview
  • Week of April 9th: Spring Festival
  • April 14th: Student Organization Fair during Sneak Preview (register to participate via OrgSync beginning on March 12th at 8:00 a.m.)
  • Thursday, April 19th: 7th Annual Leadership Awards (by invitation only)
  • May 4th: Last day for tabling, outdoor events and the Vendor Program.
