Instructional Web Authoring II (advanced)
Prerequisites: ITEC 745 or Significant Experience Producing Websites.
This is the advanced course in the instructional web authoring sequence where students will create websites based upon HTML5, CSS and meeting other current web standards. Using Adobe Dreamweaver as an authoring tool, students will create various websites individually and in groups, exposing them to web building and effective online learning techniques. Following the life cycle of web development, students will create a design document based on real world scenarios. Students will also experiment with Learning Management Systems and Content Management Systems as well as a number of emerging web technologies including RSS and Blogs. Underlying theories of the Web as a learning and social communication medium will be explored.
