Kevin Kelly is the Manager of two Academic Technology (AT) units--Online Teaching & Learning and Media & Distribution Services--at San Francisco State University (SF State). He received his Ed.D. in Organization and Leadership from the University of San Francisco. His areas of interest and academic research include instructional design theory, project management, needs assessment, instructional multimedia development, integrating technology into curriculum, grant writing, institutional technology decision-making and adoption, organizational change, strategic planning. Dr. Kelly also holds an M.A. in Education with a Concentration in Instructional Media and Technology from San Francisco State University, and a B.A. in American Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Kelly was Assistant Director at the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching (CET) at SF State, and Co-Director of ITEC’s federal grant program, Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology (PT3), which helped more than 1000 credential students integrate technology into curriculum.

He was part of the CSU team, National Coalition on E-Portfolio Research.
