The 2008 Presidential Election
SF State is one of the nations leading campuses for effectively promoting voter participation among students. It is the goal of the Institute, in collaboration with other campus organizations, to increase the number of students who continue to be civically and politically engaged.
Understand the Issues
This fall, SF State’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences will offer a special course to spotlight issues of the 2008 Presidential Election. BSS 275 will be held Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:55 pm from August 27-December 10 in Jack Adams Hall. The purpose of the course is to help the campus community and the public better understand the historic social- and public-policy issues of this election. The course will feature distinguished SF State faculty panels and roundtables, followed by group discussion. Students can enroll through the regular University or through the College of Extended Learning.
