Financial and Retirement Planning Workshops

 

Planning Your Retirement
This workshop is designed for CalPERS members who are within five years of retiring and will cover how to maximize your retirement benefit, how your retirement benefit is calculated, the steps you need to take prior to retiring and the retirement application process. To enroll please call CalPERS at 1-888-225-7377 or enroll on-line at www.mycalpers.ca.gov.

 

Completing Your CalPERS Retirement Application
For those within 90 days of retirement, this class will assist you in completing the step-by-step process of filling out your retirement application. This is an alternative to visiting the Walnut Creek regional office. Bring your application and a copy of your Retirement Estimate. If applicable, your spouse or domestic partner should attend the class so that both your signatures can be witnessed on the application.
Seating is limited.

CalPERS Retirement Fairs
CalPERS welcomes you to attend their series of Retirement Fairs. All CalPERS members are welcome to attend. Each fair will feature more than a dozen information tables on topics such as: CalPERS health benefits, services provided by your local regional office, how service credit affects a member's retirement benefit, CalPERS member home loans and supplemental income plans. Other tables will feature representatives from Social Security, the State Savings Plus Program, CalSTRS, and various public employee organizations. Each fair will feature regularly scheduled workshops.
