CLEARANCE PROCEDURE
Effective Date:  April 2000



The San Francisco State University Human Resources Department would like to reintroduce you to the convenient clearance procedure for exiting faculty and staff. With this procedure, we hope to better serve our faculty and staff, and to expedite the release of final paychecks and settlements.  Clearance procedure applies to an employee who is faculty or staff, and who is going on “Leave without Pay” (LWOP) or completely separating from all positions at the university. In cases where an employee has more than one position on campus, and separates from one, but is still active in the other(s), clearance procedure does not apply. Also, please refer to Exceptions to the Clearance Procedure for the LIST OF CLASSIFICATIONS, which are exempt from clearance.
